There are five main components in a DTH (direct to home)
satellite system: the programming source, the broadcast center, the
satellite,
the satellite TV dish and the receiver.
1.Programming sources
are the sources from which satellite providers
get their content. Satellite television providers don't create the
actual programming, they pay other companies for the right to
broadcast their content via satellite. The satellite television
providers are therefore simply brokers between you and the content
provider.
2. The broadcast center
is the place where satellite providers collect their broadcast content
and beams the broadcast signals to satellites
in orbit.
3. The satellites
receive the signals from the broadcast stations and
then send those signals to subscriber antennas on the ground.
4.The dish
is the antenna of a subscriber. The dish picks up the
satellite signal and passes it on to the receiver in the
house.
5. The receiver
is the device that decodes the satellite signal and passes it on to
your television.
